I took these photos of Daisy the other day, after I had finished getting shots of the horses when we first put them out on pasture. I was walking into the house with the camera and looked over to see Daisy rolling and rolling, back and forth, enjoying the warm sunshine and green grass. Our biggest challenge this time of year is just keeping the grass mowed in the dog yards before it gets away from us. I had mowed the grass in the front yard the previous evening, so it was freshly clipped and smelling even greener for Daisy's rolling pleasure.

I wish my dachshunds would learn to roll in sweet fresh grass instead of the nasty things they find.

Blueberry taking a refreshing dip in the cool water on a hot day. Daisy rolling around in the fresh cut green grass scratching all little her itchies. The horses slowly drifting acrosss green fields muching fresh grass and dreaming of apples to ripen and fall. How idyllic. Even Steve, not getting pelted in the back of the head with 'compost'; it's all well and good. I love RDF.

Daisy, remember what Robin Williams says about spring:
"Spring is nature's way of saying... Let's PARTY"!

To watch a dog roll on the grass with such joy is a wonderful sight. We should all take a lesson from them and enjoy the simple pleasures in life. Daisy looks so relaxed and contented.

Well, Daisy, it's a rough life but somebody has to live it, eh? Maybe I need to do some rolling around in the freshly cut grass to destress! :)
