She may be blind, she may have lost a leg to one form of cancer, and she may be battling yet another type of cancer, but a rolling Helen is a happy Helen. I looked out my office window this morning and saw her rolling and rolling in the grass. She kept at is so long that I had plenty of time to get the camera and go outside to take some photos.
Based on consultations with the oncologist at Washington State University, Helen is not back on chemotherapy yet. We are taking her to our vet clinic in Helena next week for another monthly check-up, and after our vets and the oncologist review those latest findings, they'll decide on the next stage of treatment.
Meanwhile, it appears that rolling might be excellent therapy in and of itself:
Oh that totally made my morning.. happy Helen with not a worry in the world!

Great post for today!
We love seeing Helen happily rolling and enjoying the simplier things in life. Think I'll try rolling on the grass today too...I've been inspired! : )

I was looking for the right answer to this post and picture and Ev said it for me: live in the moment. I am glad animals can't really understand what a prognosis is which allows them to fully live every minute of their precious lives. You roll, girl!

Helen, you are an inspiration. Keep rollin' pretty girl! You are bringing smiles to many faces.
As for chemo... we know it all too well! My dog, Jack, just finished his 6-month protocol and has made it quite clear that if and when his lymphoma returns, he does NOT wish to go through it again! Whatever you and your vets decide, you have a chemo buddy in Jack and he'll be pulling for you.
