Alayne and I were getting up from the dinner table tonight when I looked over and saw this sight in the living room. Our little paralyzed Yorkie, Spirit, was sacked out on a cot, quietly laying there and watching everything go on around her. Occasionally she'd move her head, but most of the time the only thing that moved were her eyes.
She was tired from spending a lot of time in her wheelchair this afternoon, so she was ready to hang out. We had lifted her out of her wheelchair and set her on the cot to eat her dinner, and thus she was also resting with a full tummy when I took the photo.
(I would love to take credit for the fashionable color coordination between dog and blanket, but it just happened to work out that way.)
She is just as precious as can be. I am so glad to see her so content.

What a precious cutie! Those "wheels" give Spirit freedom and a new lease on life...now it's time for her to watch the world go by while on her blanket!

What a cutie. Imagine being in her little head and experiencing feeling comfy from a full tummy, tired from real exercise and seeing the world, and safe from being loved and no longer abused. That's a 180 deg. change in her tiny life! Good job guys!!

Such a great picture of her sweet face! I BET she's tuckered out from being on her new wheels; takes a lot of energy and spirit...which we know she has plenty of!

Spirit does look contented and knowing she's now safe and has wheels to get around plus good food and love, makes my heart sing.
