Alayne and I just got inside about an hour ago from finishing morning chores on a bright, beautiful Christmas Eve day. I took the photo above before we settled in for a second cup of coffee and a slice of apple pie. It's a cold day -- 6°F (-14°C) when we got up -- but it's sunny and there's no wind at all, so it's just gorgeous.
I'm going to take a holiday blog break and will resume posting the first week of January. Before we go, though, Alayne and I wanted to thank all of you for your generous donations that make it possible for us to provide this special place for these disabled animals. Glad you're taking a little Holiday break. You two seem to have boundless energy with all that dog care, raising your own dog food, logging from your own property, etc. I want to be just like you when I grown UP.
