I have the same question about the contest. Why haven't you been posting it with your blog postings? I want to vote but only if it will help your RDF.

HI GLAD ALL IS GOOD THERE.
I SENT MESSAGE TO SITE AND TO STEVE NOT SURE IF YOU GOT IT.

Glad to know that you are all okay. It's a lot of work to prepare but necessary and certainly not wasted even if you are "lucky" enough not to need it.
A question - why are you no longer putting the link to the Animal Rescue contest site? I make a point to go directly to the site to vote for you after I read your latest blog.

VERY glad you didn't get the brunt of the storm and all is well. Thank You for posting and keeping us concerned supporters informed.

It's wonderful to hear that all's fine at the RDR or should I say RDF? You prepared for the worst, and in those situations, it's important to do.
Thanks so much for taking such wonderful care of all the animals in your care.
Hugs all around,
ginger, Tobias & Tlingit

Always better to be prepared for the worst and then thankful when that doesn't happen. And there's probably lots of new and interesting smells for everyone to check out now, too. Best wishes for peace and quiet the rest of the year. RainbowCats & their people

So glad to hear that all is well with your gang. So many other places, including many not far from where I live in Jersey didn't fare so well. There's so much flooding. My heart goes out to everyone in all the states who had to deal with this. Glad it was less than expected for you and Alayne and all the animals. I know it took time to get prepared, but it's always better to be safe than sorry. And whoever said that it was a lot of hype obviously was lucky not to be affected.

Glad to hear you all fared well....

Blessing to you all! Thanks for the update. Well you are now prepared for any future storms. Boy I'm sure you are exhausted!!!

It was good to here that you all are fine. I was wondering, what did you do with all your dogs, horses and other annimals. That was one of my concerns. I'm sure you had a safe place for them. It just crossed my mine because you have so many. Some of the stories in other states are so heart breaking. Glad you all are OK Take Care

WOW YOU TWO WHAT GOOD NEWS. I WAS CONCERNED AS I'M SURE ALL YOUR SUPPORTERS WERE. MAY YOU BE SO LUCKY THE REST OF HURRICANE SEASON.

I'm so glad you're all fine!

Thank you Steve for the update. I am very glad you all fared so well. You and Alaynes pre planning would have gone far to help you had you needed it. It never hurts to 'practice' because you just don't know which storm is going to be a bad one and do more damage. I feel bad for the people who did get Irenes wrath but and relieved that my favorite farm and living beings were spared.

I'm relieved to know everyone is well and safe! Thank you for both posts. Surely you folks know how concerned about you all your blog followers are, and how we appreciate knowing you're all right.

A lot of us prepared for "Mean Irene" and thank God that she was more "merciful" where we lived. On the other hand, when your maiden name is "Murphy", you do not leave these things to the whim of the Gods. Me and mine at "Taint Much" are gratified to hear that you and yours at "Rolling Dog Farm" are safe! :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

You guys work so hard to take care of the fuzzy kids! You are angels!
