Our longtime and wonderful volunteer from Helena, Laura W., just emailed me a link to this YouTube video of Timmy and Levi, the two disabled dogs she adopted from us, playing together. Timmy is the one whose front leg we recently amputated, and Levi is blind. There's always something especially heartwarming watching two disabled animals play together, but in a way it's even more so when they have different disabilities. In this case, Levi is a much bigger dog but middle-aged, and it looks to me in the end that Timmy's youthful exuberance and energy on three legs wore down his older friend on four legs ... at least judging from how Levi finally headed for the stairs! (And notice how Levi knew exactly where those stairs were?)
Thank you, Laura, for adopting both of these special boys!

What a family! Thanks for the update Laura :) You really picked a great one to mix in with Levi's energy--LOVE IT!

I loved it! It's so amazing to see them playing & without even a thought to either one of them having any type of challenge. I watched the few Levi videos that were posted. Enjoyed them all! Timmy looks fantastic!!! Thanks Laura for giving them a wonderful environment to run & play & just be dogs!!! What a great life!!

Great stuff, thanks for sharing. You'd never know there were any disabilities in either dog, unless you knew to look for the missing leg.
Steve, great you got updated NH pictures on the header of the home page. They look great!

Dog by dog and cat by cat, the word will get out that it takes more than being blind or being three-legged to be disabled. Go Levi and Timmy and Laura!!

Here are 2 good reasons to support Rolling Dog Ranch. Dogs who have disabilities yet live full and joy filled lives in their adoptive home. Laura has shown how well adjusted and happy they can be. Thanks for sharing their wonderful antics with us.

Thank you so much Laura for having such a big caring heart. Someday I hope RDR has a big party whereby everyone who loves them can meet. Through these postings I feel like I know many people.
Steve: We all out here in internet land are wondering about Alayne. Could you do with her what the media does with Santa Claus on Christmas Eve; i.e. track her progress across the country. We are getting excited to get her home. Thank you!!!:)

What a delight to see two great buddies having a fine time together. Watching that, no one would have a clue that they'd ever had any problems. Laura, thank you so much for giving Timmy & Levi a loving forever home with you & sharing the videos.
Yes, we do hope Alayne & the last of the gang are well on their way to NH!
Big hugs all around,
ginger, Tobias & Tlingit

Thanks Laura for sending that video. I can't get over how comfortable Timmy is now that the dangling leg is gone. You would never know he was missing one the way he's moving and playing. Two more happy doggies with their own home - just wonderful!

Loved seeing Timmy so happy after his background of the bad leg and the heartworms and being homeless to boot.
RDR and its (insert any of the following) animals- fans-volunteers-supporters-adopters makes my heart sing on a regular basis. Thank you!
