Every morning blind Charlie and blind Austin engage in a wonderful play session that includes lots of wrestling and chasing and general tomfoolery. We've tried repeatedly to get photos of these two Beagles in action, but whenever they hear us approaching with the camera, they stop playing and head towards us. Well, Alayne finally got some of the photos we were after! That's Charlie on the left and Austin on the right having a very spirited discussion. I'm not sure what the topic was, but obviously there was a lot of emotion involved. (Click on the photo for a larger version to really appreciate it!)
Here was the scene a few moments before -- there's nothing like a good cheek-hold to subdue your opponent:

When my pups played like this, I said they were "dogging around," the canine version of horsing around. It always seemed to be a contest to see which dog could open his mouth wider. How interesting that blind dogs have the same contest. Perhaps it's really a doggy-breath contest. :) Thanks for the Shelter Challenge link. I'll vote every day!

Anyone using Firefox can do this:
Go into Preferences and set your cookies to expire each time you close Firefox. You can then quit Firefox, relaunch it, and vote again. Haven't tried this with other browsers but the "you've already voted today" info is stored in a cookie. Clear that cookie and you're set.

Having a beagle, I know the noise the comes with those faces. I suspect that it sounds like a death match, followed by lots of sniffing for any potentially dropped food.
