This is a variation on a theme we've written about before -- small dogs curling up around a big dog and using him or her as a kind of canine heat lamp. Alayne took this photo the other afternoon of Charlie on the left and Austin -- two of our blind Beagles from Georgia -- snoozing with blind Moose. Someone had pulled the dog bed off the cot and onto the ground, which is where they decided to nap. It wasn't a cold day at all, but the sun wasn't out and apparently an auxiliary heat source was required!

Ilove this picture! I bet Moose is glad that he found a place where someone wants to be buy him and will not leave him stranded again. This picture is what love is all about. Thank-you for the up-lifting photo. You two are very special in the animal world! Keep all the great work you continue to do.

Oh, I know when Moose arrived the little dogs all told him this is the way we sleep here. Big dogs let little dogs curl around them. It's one of the dog rules here! Such a cute, loving picture!

Little dogs are sort of like velcro balls. They curl up and stick to things.. ;) I actually think it is Moose who grabbed the poor defenseless innocent Beagles and threatened them to snuggle against him to keep himself warm - conspiracy theory, I know. ;)

I love this. I have 3 dogs and they are pals but they don't cuddle like this. I think this photo says a lot about the spirit of love at the Ranch. Big hugs to all.

Well, I *did* want to see more of Moose, but somehow I thought his face would be visible. :) This resembles a canine game of Twister.

I've been wondering how Moose is doing since falling in love with that hansome face when you first posted about him! Any chance of an update on how he's adjusting to the good life at the Ranch?

I think this may be the sweetest dog photograph I've ever seen.
Moose must emit those loving Lab vibes like one of my girls. (In 13 yrs. she's never met a person or animal she wasn't kind to, even when they weren't so nice.)
My comment for yesterday's Belly Up blog was apparently lost in cyber space. That was another great photo. Seems you have a "Friends" theme going. Love it!!

Whew.....I am happy to give you some of the Kansas City heat today.....97 and an even higher heat index!
There is nothing more peaceful than a snoozing critter.

So sweet. Reminds me of how my rats love to sleep in piles.
