As I walked over early this morning to let the dogs out of Widget's House, I looked up and saw the snowy top of Ovando Mountain bathed in bright pink from the sun that was just beginning to crest the ridge to the east of us. By the time I got back to our house and picked up the camera, most of the mountain was glowing in the sunrise. This is what it looked like.

Mother Nature sure knows what she's doing....beautiful sunrise!

I'm writing from Canada and I just learnt about your ranch last night from some coverage on TV. I think what you are both doing is great. Thank you for caring enough to help these animals enjoy the best quality of life they can.

Beautiful! Reminds me of the Sandia mountains here in Albuquerque...when the sun hits them just right they are a beautiful shade of pink. How's Blanca? Now that I have my deaf dane pup home, I've been looking for an update on Blanca!

We get that same pink glow here on the Front Range mountains in Colorado. I think it's called "alpenglow." Very beautiful.
