I got this shot yesterday when I was coming out of Widget's House. That's blind Dusty, waiting to go inside for dinner. He's a wonderful boy, very gentle and sweet. But despite his size -- he's probably about 90 pounds -- he's very skittish about being around a group of dogs. So he prefers to stay back until all the other dogs, who are typically milling around the front porch, have gone inside first. With the porch cleared, Dusty will saunter up to the door and stand there patiently until we open the door for him. Then he walks in, does a quick, excitable spin or two -- "Dinner time! Woo hoo!" -- and heads into his crate to eat.

What a sweet gentleman! He looks so cute, patiently waiting for his turn to enter the house for dinner.

Sounds like a sweet boy. I just went back & re-read his "bio." Glad he's learning to fit in there, in his own way.

I love you, Dusty.

Dear Dusty, the lone wolf of the family! I'd hug him if could reach.

He looks so cute sitting there waiting patiently. I just adore him! I think he just likes to wait for the dinner rush crowd to be over so he can enjoy a leisurely dinner after he shares his excitement with you upon entering the house.

Husky Dusty has a special place in my heart because he is so skittish around people due to his abuse--he is such a wonderful boy. Speaking of Huskies--how is Mitch?

Amazing that he can't see but knows when the dogs go inside. Thanks for featuring some of the dogs we don't hear about as often.
