Blind Creighton And His New Pals
You probably remember that our adorable blind Lab puppy from Mississippi, Creighton, was adopted in early May by a wonderful couple in Olympia, Washington, Peggy and Matt M. They already have two blind chocolate Labs and thought Creighton would make a great addition to the family. Peggy reports that Creighton -- who they renamed Emmitt Creighton III -- is enjoying his new life and new companions. She just sent us these photos, which I thought you'd like to see.
In the photo above are Creighton and Bobby Lee, who Peggy calls "my two 'no-eye dears.'" Peggy wrote, "This photo looks like Bobby Lee is the dad - but maybe more grandfather-like. There is an amazing resemblance in the ears and the head. I've often thought that Emmitt, with his little white soul patch, could have been named Dizzy Gillespie. He is prone to crooning (maybe more like baying) like I hear him doing right now outside."
And in this next photo, Emmitt Creighton III is playing tug-of-war with Peggy and Matt's other blind chocolate Lab, Danni Rae:
Peggy wrote, "And yes, that's Emmitt's donut. He loves that thing. He's torn it open and pulled out the stuffing at least half-a-dozen times, and I keep restuffing it and sewing it back up. It's kind of like a kid and his favorite 'binky'."

With the July 4th holiday coming up, I won't be posting any new entries until Monday morning. That's it for this week!
So glad to see Little Creighton is doing so good! My mother and I were the previous owners. We miss him very much! We're very happy to see how beautiful he is now. He has grown up very fast! He was like another child at our house. We still have all his old toys at the house, cant seem to get rid of them yet. Please keep us updated on him. We miss him very much! :)

I am so happy for Creighton, I was so concerned for him because of his oh so painful looking eyes, I am so happy they are gone and he is in a wonderful family! He could not have asked for a better outcome and thank you two so much for making it possible.

What a lovely way to end a week! A doggy success story to the max. He's got a new loving mom, some playful sibs, and his beloved restuffed "binky." Oh heck, I'm gonna tear up.

Emmitt Creighton III looks like he fits right in to the happy home! What a fun bunch of happy dogs Peggy & Matt have gathered! It's wonderful to see them playing together. Thanks for the update of his new family.

I was so happy to get the update on handsome boy Creighton. Just last night my husband was reading your summer newsletter, and remarked what a nice looking pup he is. I am so happy that he has found a great home. Happy 4th to you all. Make sure the pups get a grilled hot dog or two!!

Great to hear that Creighton is in a wonderful new home with a fantastic family. A story like this makes me smile and re-assures me there are wonderful people in the world - we just don't hear about them on the evening news. One of my favorite things to do each night is to read the blog for bit of Rolling Dog Ranch news. Usually heart warming, sometimes sad, it makes my day to know what is going on at the ranch. Thanks for all that you do.
