We noticed in the past several weeks that Trooper, our hound mix from Louisiana with the twisted front leg, has developed quite the relationship with Priscilla, the blind Poodle from Texas. Now, Trooper has had a way with the ladies before, including Blanca, our blind-and-deaf Great Dane. But none of the girls has swooned over him the way Priscilla does. She follows him all over the Widget's House yard, plays with him, romps with him, and in general has quite the crush on him.
We're not sure why. She's kind of upscale, refined, and dignified. He's ungainly, long-eared, willful, and up to no good much of the time. More like the fellow from the wrong side of the tracks. But she fell for him nonetheless.
She is blind, though, so with apologies to Elvis, maybe she just doesn't know he ain't nothing but a hound dog.

A true "Lady and the Tramp" combination! How cute!!

Well, speaking from experience being around Trooper and seeing him in action, I can understand why he was able to get the beautiful Priscilla to be "his girl." He is charming and very persistent.

What a neat combo! Well, at least they don't have to worry about their family interferring. I think it's more of, "I love you just the way you are." Which is perfect!
Big hugs to all,

Nice guys quite often finish last. Why? Because us babes seem to fall for the upstart bad dogs. Doesn't the look on her face say it all? She can't even see him yet she seems to be giving him that Love Me Tender look.

Looks like Trooper may have some weimie in him with those long ears. Priscilla knows that he is a hunka hunka burnin love! Great couple those two. Kissy Kissy to you Trooper and Priscilla.

What a handsome couple! - smooth black and ruffly white. They look great together to me - and more importantly, they have those great vibes.

The obvious--love is blind. But, it might be a case of a good girl going for the bad boy.

These beauties are in love. Adoring and majestic, they trade places admiring each other. Love endures.

How very cute and wonderful! Spring is alive and In The Air at RDR. I wonder if whoever coined the phrase "Love is Blind" realized that it transcends the "figurative" and dwells in the "literal" as well. At least, in the lives of dogs! Lucky Puppies!

That's so cute that Priscilla is so attracted to Trooper. It sounds like that other famous dog relationship - LADY AND THE TRAMP! Patty

Its no surprise to me. We good girls always fall for those Bad Boys! All Trooper needs now is a tattoo and a guitar and it would be perfect!
Say, how is Blanca, btw?

That is so sweet. I love the pictures - they both look so content with one another. They say opposites attract! Kisses to them both.

LOL! Hey, I have two good eyes and I feel in love with Trooper on our visit to the ranch. Trooper has that special magic and zest for life. He might have started on the wrong side of the tracks but he's one classy hound dog now--just asked Priscilla!

Ladies love outlaws... Those boys from Loosiana are the worst, but then Texas society ladies should probably know that. ;-) Yes, love is blind.

Glad to see Trooper and Priscilla are looking so good these days - and they make a fine couple.
Thanks for the pics.
