This is what our living room looks like on a good day. Soft chew toys lying on the floor, small piles of fluff scattered about. I was getting ready to head outside this afternoon and start dragging the pastures again when I saw Bailey sitting in the middle of the living room, surrounded by the dead and dying toys. So I went back into my office to get the camera and take this shot.
Alayne had just finished sweeping and cleaning the living room on Friday evening, and by Sunday it looked like this again. And this is actually quite tidy! (Well, for us it is!)
Bailey was not entirely responsible for the mess. We have several world-class toy shredders who can claim credit, ranging from the young (blind and deaf Baron) to the old (blind Kenai). But the Queen of Shred, the one who reigns over all of them, is blind Goldie, who's made her own appearances on the blog on this very subject. As you can see, there's enough fluff I mean blame to go around.

What's a dog going to do!!!

What a great picture! Bailey looking quite pleased at the dead and dying toy population all around :D I read about Goldie's story and was so touched. What a little sweetheart...and what luck that she happened to win the lottery that day and end up with you and Alayne. Please send her a gentle squish from a new admirer!

ahhh... can't we all relate to this. I tell myself it is "happiness" on the floor and work to recycle it. Hope there's much more!

Uh oh....Bailey's at it again! Looks like his attention has turned from Mr. Caterpillar to the small and helpless stuffed creatures. Saving us all one fluff at at time; thanks Bailey, you're so brave!

"dragging the pastures"...I am not familiar with that term. Do the horses tear up their chew toys, too?
How is it possible that dogs can look so innocent in the middle of a murder scene? And my final question....do the little scamps eat the fluff? If so, I would think that would create poop that cleans itself.:>)

Is there a special fund to replace the toys those rascals, Bailey , Baron and Goldie( I just read her story. What AWFUL people those guys were . Sometimes you just want to shout-----WHAT WERE YOU THINKING????)and the others tear to shreds? Anyway, that is a beautiful mess, it adds character to the room , don't you think? Yeah right!!! Take care and keep the broom handy.
