It was starting to feel a bit crowded under my desk yesterday evening. I kept feeling Ellie May nudging my feet and the wheels of the desk chair, and bit by bit I edged my chair over to the right to give her more room. Finally, I felt like I was getting elbowed out of my own office, so I looked down to see what she was doing. And there was the answer: Baron had decided to snuggle up with her, sharing the same bed. It happened so quietly I didn't even realize he was there. To make room for him, Ellie May kept scooting over on the bed until they were both comfortable. (My comfort, on the other hand, was somewhat immaterial.)
I picked up the camera off the desk, rolled my chair back, and took this photo of the two of them. My chair is usually under the computer on the right, where you see the corner of the keyboard. Thus you can tell how I kept getting nudged over as that little Cocker adjusted her body sideways. Once settled in and human shoved aside, both of these blind-and-deaf dogs slept very soundly!

This is so cute! Our bed in really for the cats--just like your office isn't really "your" office BUT we would not have it any other way!! This photo is very precious!

Steve,
It appears that it may be time to invest in a laptop and move your office work to the comfort of your chair in the living room...wait...Blanca has that occupied At least you can keep your tootsies warm with one minion for each foot!

They are unbelievable. It's so amazing how animals know how to help one another. Steve you are truly one special person. Thanks for all you do

What a beautiful commentary on just how much these dogs enjoy life as well as accept each other. Kudos to you both!

I am laughing at this!!
Ellie May adores you, Steve but it IS getting colder these days, so finding a warm napping buddy is quite important....much more so than getting computer work done, at least from a pooches standpoint.
Thanks for this post; it made my day.

You've gotta admit, they do look comfy. Their colouring is just about the same as well. Maybe they've decided they are kindred spirits. That's a really cool pic. Sorry for the inconvience, Steve. Looks like you may be able to grab that left corner of the bed & give it a pull, just a bit, so you can get back to work!
Hugs to all,
ginger, Tobias & Tlingit

Steve, maybe your minion has a minion! This is undoubtedly one of the cutest pictures you have ever posted. They are a great couple.

Baron is still my favourite cutie! Anything in the way of a good snooze is usually pushed aside, I sometimes get kicked off my own bed - literally!! Have a great day.
