My mistake, of course, was to add that last line in yesterday's post ... the one where I pointed out the very last patch of snow at the ranch. I should have known better. We woke up this morning to three inches of snow, the wind howling, and visibility less than 1/4 mile.
That meant a snuggly day for the dogs. At lunch time I was trying out a new video camera and captured what our living room looked like. (Our last video camera died many months ago, which is why there haven't been any ranch videos on the blog in a long time!) Not shown in this video were several other dogs in the house: blind Willie and blind Kenai asleep on cots behind me, blind Helen asleep in Alayne's office, Dolly asleep in our bedroom, blind Joey in the green crate you'll see in this piece, and then Alayne's "minions," as I call them ... blind Goldie and Oscar the Doxie, swirling around Alayne's ankles in the kitchen.
There's nothing exciting or funny going on here. But it will probably make you want to go take a nap.

Aww!
I love the size difference between Callie and Daisy.

Such contentment! ...and I second the hope for more clips.
What a great bunch, thanks to you.

I love it! Looks a bit like our household...except usually not that quiet around here. :)

I want to live there! :)

I had thought if the dogs were in because of inclimate weather that they would be in Widgets house; HA! HA! I'm happy to see the ranch's dogs have used the same mind control tactics that my pets use on me! Thanks for sharing. :)

Made me kinda weepy thinking about all these guys and their pasts and how different it is now for them. How wonderful to have a full tummy, have the confidence to snooze without fear of abuse or starvation or pain from injuries, and the peace of mind to snuggle in for nap among friends and know there is a tomorrow. Wow! Great video! Thanks!!

This was awesome!!!! So what happens when the UPS man rings the door bell??? I know, they all lie there like little angels and never make a peep :)

Nothing like a spring storm to use as an excuse to cuddle inside where it is warm and cozy!!! Life is good for these precious critters!!!

I loved this post.
Looks somewhat like my own house except mine are all bassets.
Have a great day.

I laughed out loud, playing this video clip twice in a row. What a sight...all the snoozing critters...all in 7th heaven on their comfy sleeping spots.

That looks like a house full of love! Lucky doggies to have a safe, comfy haven on a cold day to snuggle & snooze.
Hugs to all,

I THOUGHT you were being a little hasty in thinking that was the last of the snow!!! Honestly it looks like a little slice of heaven with all the snoozers in your home. I think I need to confess a crush on deaf Tyler. It's our secret.
